The main objective of this paper shows in diachronic perspective the methods applied in audiovisual translations such as dubbing, voiceover and subtitling as well as including the secondary aids such as audio description (AD), narration, surtitles in operas, sign language and subtitles for the hard–of–hearing together with simultaneous interpreting applied in live programmes or TV interviews. Th is article is a comparative study and has many references to audiovisual translations as practised in Spain and Poland.The author also analyzes programmes and tools aiding the translation process, emphasising the role of the translator, whose application of linguistic equivalents and sociology of culture makes him the co-author of the end result.;
Niniejszy artykuł w ujęciu diachronicznym przedstawia w sposób szczegółowy metody translatoryczne wykorzystywane w przekładzie audiowizualnym, takie jak dubbing, wersję lektorską oraz napisy, z równoczesnym uwzględnieniem technik pobocznych, wśród których należy wymienić audiodeskrypcję, komentarz, nadpisy w operze, podpisy dla niesłyszących oraz tłumaczenie symultaniczne, obserwowane w programach prowadzonych na żywo czy też wywiadach telewizyjnych. Tekst ma charakter porównawczy i zawiera szereg odniesień do przekładu audiowizualnego stosowanego w Hiszpanii oraz w Polsce.
