Relatively little space is devoted in the academic discourse to emotionality in the transmission of audio description, which is an intersemiotic form of audiovisual translation. Emotions in the process of artistic translation seem to be inevitable, because the valuation and emotional perception comes already at the moment of reception of a given visual work by the translator. In addition, a painting itself as an artistic medium can force the audio descriptor to transfer specific emotions, because in image perception there is no specific order of information received – the translator selects it, which he later conveys in words that are emotionally marked. The analysis is of a contrasting nature – two audio descriptions to the painting of Olga Boznanska “Imieniny babuni” [“Grandma’s name day”] will be compared in terms of emotions transferred.;
Stosunkowo mało miejsca poświęca się w dyskursie naukowym zagadnieniu emocjonalności przekazu audiodeskrypcji, będącej intersemiotyczną formą tłumaczenia audiowizualnego. Emocje w procesie przekładu artystycznego wydają się nieuniknione, ponieważ do wartościowania i emocjonalnej percepcji dochodzi już w momencie odbioru danego dzieła wizualnego przez tłumacza. Ponadto sam obraz jako medium artystyczne może niejako wymuszać na audiodeskryptorze przekaz określonych emocji, w przypadku bowiem percepcji obrazu nie ma określonej kolejności odbieranych informacji – to tłumacz dokonuje ich selekcji, co później oddaje za pomocą słów, nieuchronnie nacechowanych emocjonalnie. Przeprowadzona analiza ma charakter kontrastywny – porównane zostaną dwie audiodeskrypcje do obrazu Olgi Boznańskiej „Imieniny babuni” pod kątem przekazu emocji z uwzględnieniem płaszczyzny (poza)językowej.
