Digital Libraries Federation invites to celebrate their partnership Public Domain Day 2016. The event will take place in Solec 44 club in Warsaw on January 29th. DLF supports users looking for collections made available on-line by Polish cultural, artistic and scientific institutions, so that is the reason why public domain is in this case an important area of developement. Currently in DLF we can find 1.2 million of objects available on the basis of public domain – without any limits.
During this year’s celebrations you can take part in workshops (there will be also workshops for children), discussions and presentations about the meaning of content shared on the basis of domain and many other subjects connected with it e.g. orphaned works, copyright laws and licenses. You have to enroll to take part in workshops (here). Afterwards, participants will have the possibility to listen to the musical pieces from the public domain performed by the pianist Michał Załęski, and finally there will be a degustation of dishes prepared with the recipes also from the public domain.
