Along with the end of summer goes the annual harvest festival – the element of folk culture combined with revelling and music making. As far as it is for this type of music in stocks of libraries belonging to the Digital Libraries Federation, we can find very many kinds of publications documenting traditional Polish songs, arrangements, dances, instruments and notes. Of course a lot depends on the resources of the region where the library is located, so for example in the Digital Library of Podkarpacie we can find musical folklore of Podkarpacie; in the Digital Library of Wielkopolska we can read about local instrument called dudy wielkopolskie; in the Digital Library of Małopolska there is a wide and varied set of objects from thematic archive of Zofia and Witold Paryscy from the Tatrzański Documentation Centre; whereas in the Digital Library of Wejherowo there are Kashubian dances and harvest festivals. In this last library we can find also a collective compendium about Polish folk music published in 1960. As far as it goes for descriptive publications, in the Digital Library of UMCS we can read about types of musical instruments from private stocks of musics from Lubelszczyzna. If it comes for pieces of music which can be listened to (and even watch their performance) – Multimedia Library of NN Theatre shares movies with recordings of oberek and polka. For people acknowledged with music notation, notes and lyrics of songs can be interesting: in the National Digital Library POLONA there are 40 folk songs, and in the Digital Library of Podlasie also some similar compositions entitled Danses Polonaises.
