Furniture is undoubtedly one of the most interesting forms of objects available in stocks of libraries belonging to the Digital Libraries Federation. We can find there as well documentations of whole places as pictures of single pieces of furniture, historical exhibits and 20th century trends in this field. An amazing collection is presented by the National Digital Museum in Warsaw: there are designer projects (cabinet, chair), 19th century decorative chairs (bamboo chair, stool) and photographs documenting exhibitions Polish Applied Art in Zachęta and the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts and Modern Industry in Paris. When it comes to the historical interiors, we can see them among others in the catalogue of artistic and scientific stocks of Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, where we can find modern pictures of halls at Wawel: the Hall under the Planets, Representative Hall, Lanckorońscy stocks. A few other libraries share publications about furniture craft and interior design, for example in the Digital Library of Wielkopolska there is Carpenter’s Review (there and here); in the Digital Library of Warsaw University there is a catalogue and history of Exterior naturalistic furniture; in the Pomeranian Digital Library there are objects and catalogues in English – The British home of to-day: a book of modern domestic architecture & the applied arts, in French – Art e decoration and in Polish –Patterns of modern and antic furniture.
