  The article is both of theoretical and practical nature. It has been written in order to draw attention to the issue of emotional education as a challenge for contemporary schools, especially at the stage of grades 1-3. In the theoretical part, an attempt was made so as to define emotional education by explaining what emotions and education are. Attention was paid to the following issues; the progress of research on emotions in recent years, how emotions are shaped in children during early education, the place of social-emotional competence at school, and the notions that need to be worked on in this area. The article is also concerned with the issue of emotional competences that an educator should have in the modern world. In the practical part, attention was paid to educational facilities in the field of emotionality for teachers. It was also indicated how teachers can stimulate the development of their pupils’ emotionality. The article provides advice as well as various ideas and didactic sources.;
  Artykuł ma charakter teoretyczno-praktyczny. Napisano go w celu zwrócenia uwagi na istotę edukacji emocjonalnej jako wyzwania współczesnej szkoły, szczególnie na etapie klas 1-3. W części teoretycznej podjęto próbę jej zdefiniowania w oparciu o wyjaśnienie czym są emocje i edukacja. Zwrócono uwagę na takie aspekty, jak: rozwój badań nad emocjami w ostatnich latach, kształtowanie się emocji u dzieci na poziomie edukacji wczesnoszkolnej oraz miejsce kompetencji społeczno-emocjonalnych w szkole, a także obszary, które wymagają pracy w tym zakresie. Artykuł porusza również kwestię kompetencji emocjonalnych, które powinni posiadać wychowawcy we współczesnym świecie. W części praktycznej zwrócono uwagę na zaplecze edukacyjne w obszarze emocjonalności nauczycieli. Wskazano, w jaki sposób mogą oni stymulować rozwój najmłodszych uczniów w zakresie emocjonalności. Przytoczono wiele porad, pomysłów i źródeł dydaktycznych.
