Dużą rolę odgrywa w niej tematyka i sceneria regionalna – beskidzko-śląska oraz górnośląska. Autorka w większym stopniu niż wiedzę historyczną popularyzuje konwencje literackie i filmowe – western, Baśnie tysiąca i jednej nocy, powieść historyczno-sensacyjną, a także fantastykę, w tym fantastykę naukową.
