The review of the book cover is an excerpt from a publishing review and at the same time a kind of paratext presenting a specific book and encouraging potential readers to read. The author analyzes various points of view present in the scientific review of the cover of the humanities books. The analysis of selected review texts of the covers showed that the texts of the reviews contain subjective points of view, including: an expert, an authority in a given field, a researcher with an academic degree and/or title, a layperson, or a clergyman. These points of view harmoniously combine and complement each other, giving a specialist view and a reliable opinion about the subject under review.;
Recenzja na okładce książki stanowi ekscerpt z recenzji wydawniczej i jednocześnie rodzaj paratekstu prezentującego konkretną książkę i zachęcającego potencjalnego odbiorcę do lektury. Autorka analizuje różne punkty widzenia obecne w recenzji naukowej zamieszczonej na okładce książki humanistycznej. Analiza zamieszczonych na okładkach wybranych tekstów recenzji wykazała, że są w nich obecne podmiotowe punkty widzenia, m.in.: eksperta, autorytetu w danej dziedzinie, badacza ze stopniem i/lub tytułem naukowym, osoby świeckiej lub duchownej. Wymienione punkty widzenia harmonijnie łączą się ze sobą i wzajemnie uzupełniają, dając specjalistyczne spojrzenie i rzetelną opinię o przedmiocie poddawanym recenzji.
