  The aim of this paper is to comment on Panajotis Kondylis’ remarks on the thought of Karl Marx. In its introductory part, the authors present an overview of the recent studies and point out some prospects for further research on the topic in question. The second part of the paper focuses on an analysis of Kondylis’ texts that have not been discussed in previous studies, including both his first papers written as a university student and interviews given at the end of his life. The authors pay particular attention to the book Marks a grecka tradycja antyczna (Marx and the classical Greek antiquity), which is fully devoted to Marx’s works and the translation of which has inspired the authors to write this article. The adopted perspective has enabled them to obtain a broader and more comprehensive picture of Kondylis’ attitude toward the legacy of Karl Marx.;
  Celem niniejszego artykułu jest opracowanie stosunku Panajotisa Kondylisa do myśli Karola Marksa. W jego pierwszej części autorzy dokonali zwięzłego przeglądu aktualnego stanu badań oraz wskazali na dalsze możliwości i perspektywy badawcze. W drugiej części skupili się na analizie niewykorzystanych wcześniej tekstów Kondylisa obejmujących zarówno jego pierwsze artykuły naukowe (lata studenckie), jak i wywiady udzielone u schyłku życia. Zwrócili również szczególną uwagę na publikację Marks a grecka tradycja antyczna stanowiącą jedyną książkę skupiającą się w całości na twórczości Marksa. Jej przekład na język polski był inspiracją do napisania artykułu. Ta perspektywa pozwoliła uzyskać szerszy i bardziej kompleksowy obraz stosunku Kondylisa do spuścizny Karola Marksa.
