  The article aims to assess the the level of activity of enterprise with foreign capital in the Opole and Świętokrzyskie voivodeships in the years 2005–2023 and the dependence between the amount of investment expenditure of foreign capital and GDP and average wages. To achieve this goal, comparative analysis of the studied areas, literature analysis, descriptive statistics and the last squares methods were used. The analysis was based on data published by the Central Statistical Office. It was also found that the situation is more favorable in the Opole region, where one can see the tendency to create cluster structures in technologically advanced types of industrial activity: electrical engineering and automotive, related to the world market. The companies concentrated in them through constant investment, try to follow global technological progress and efficiency requirements. In the Świętokrzyskie voivodeship, foreign investors invest their capital mainly in traditional industries related to the extraction and use of mineral resources. The internationalization of their activities is limited by nature, and the prospects for their activity are determined by the further availability of mineral resources. These conditions are probably the reason for the decreasing trend in the amount of foreign capital and its investment activity. In the case of this region, unlike the Opole voivodeship, it cannot be stated that there is a significant statistical relationship between the volume of investments by foreign entities and the value of GDP per capita and average wages.;
  Celem artykułu jest ocena aktywności przedsiębiorstw z kapitałem zagranicznym w województwach opolskim i świętokrzyskim w latach 2005–2023 oraz zależności między wielkością kapitału zagranicznego a PKB i przeciętnymi płacami. Na podstawie badania wykazano, że aktywność podmiotów z kapitałem zagranicznym w obydwu województwach utrzymuje się poniżej średniego poziomu w kraju. Korzystniej jednak kształtuje się sytuacja w województwie opolskim, gdzie można dostrzec tendencje powstawania struktur klastrowych w zaawansowanych technicznie rodzajach działalności przemysłowej: elektrotechnice i motoryzacji. W województwie świętokrzyskim inwestorzy zagraniczni największe środki ulokowali w zakłady produkujące materiały budowlane. Zakres i perspektywy aktywności tych podmiotów determinuje dostępność zasobów mineralnych. W przypadku tego województwa, w odróżnieniu od opolskiego, nie można stwierdzić, że istnieje istotna statystyczna zależność między wolumenem inwestycji podmiotów zagranicznych a PKB per capita i średnią płacą.
