  The genesis of the Constitution of the Polish People's Republic has not been sufficiently studied and analysed. This is partially due to the fact that the most vital solutions and decisions regarding its contents were made in and by a very narrow group of representatives of the party and state leadership. The official work on the drafting of the Constitution continued from May 1951 to July 1952 and was carried out within and by the Legislative Seym, its Constitutional Commissions and several sub-commissions. All those, however, were only face organs. Their main role was to create an appearance of legality and social acceptance of the decisions that had been earlier proposed and agreed outside Parliament, and even outside Poland, i.e. in the Soviet Union. The main contents of the final draft of the Constitution was determined by the leaders of the Polish United Workers' Party (PZPR) and two commissions of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party that were operative between June 1949 and March 1951. Some formulations in the Constitutions were drafted under direct influence by Joseph Stalin who proposed about 50 amendments to the draft presented in the early autumn of 1951. The contents and genesis of the Constitution of the Polish People's Republic indicate that its main purpose was to confirm the political transformations imposed in Poland after 1944. Thus the Constitution reflected Stalin's concept of constitution as a so-called constitution of a balance sheet. All in all, the way in which the Constitution of 1952 was drafted and adopted confirms a non-democratic and not-sovereign character of the Polish state in that period.;
  La genese de la Constitution de la Republique Populaire de Pologne constitue toujours le probleme a rechercher. Il s'agit que les decisions concernantes le contenu de cette constitution ont ete prises par le nombre tres restrainte des membres de la haute direction du partie communiste et du gouvernement d'Etat. Exerces du mois de mai 1951 au mois de juillet 1952 au sein de la Diete Legislative (en polonais: Sejm Ustawodawczy) et de la Commission de Constitution et de sa sous-commission, les travaux preparatoires n'etait qu'une facade. Ils ont ete destine a creer l'apparance du legalisme et de l'acceptation sociale pour les decisions qui avaient ete prises hors du parlement et souvent hors de la Pologne-meme en Union Sovietique. Dans le meme but, se deroulait le debat public sur la future constitution du mois de janvier au mois d'avril 1952 lequel n'avait que le caractere proclamatif. Le contenu du projet fut deja fixe par la direction du Parti Polonais Unifie de Travailleurs (en polonais: Polska Zjednoczona Partia Robotnicza) et par deux commissions du Secretariat du Comite Central du parti communiste qui avaient fonctionne du juin 1949 au mars 1951. Apart ca, c'est Joseph Stalin en personne qui certainement porta son influence directe sur les nombreux articles de la Constitution polonaise, car en automme 1951 il avait presente environs 50 propositions du changement du projet de celle-la. La genese et le contenu de la Constitution de RPP (en polonais: PRL) montrent qu'elle devait confirmer les changements sociaux et politiques auxquels il est arrive apres l'an 1944. Elle etait conforme a la conception stalinienne de la loi fondamentale, a savoir la constitution du bilan. L'histoire de la creation de la Constitution de 1952 montre le caractere nonsouverain et antidemocratique de l'Etat Polonais a cette epoque. La Constitution de 1952 ne resultait pas de la volonte de la nation mais elle fut octroyee par les dirigants de la PZPR qui avaient exerce la volonte de Stalin.;
  Geneza Konstytucji Polskiej Rzeczypospolitej Ludowej (PRL) z 22 lipca 1952 roku stanowi zagadnienie, które dotychczas nie zostało wyczerpująco zbadane. Zasadna jest obawa, że proces ten może nigdy nie być naświetlony w sposób całościowy. Jest to konsekwencją przede wszystkim faktycznego trybu prac ustrójodawczych, w ramach których najistotniejsze, rozstrzygające decyzje, dotyczące treści przyszłej ustawy zasadniczej, były podejmowane w wąskim, nawet kilkuosobowym gronie ówczesnego ścisłego kierownictwa partyjno-państwowego Polski Ludowej. Materiały obrazujące nieoficjalny, a zarazem niepubliczny nurt prac konstytucyjnych, jeżeli w ogóle zachowały się, to znalazły się w znacznej mierze w archiwach prywatnych. Na tym tle wyróżniają się dokumenty zgromadzone w Archiwum Akt Nowych (AAN), ukazujące poprawki wniesione przez Józefa Stalina do pierwotnego projektu Konstytucji. Dotychczas geneza Konstytucji z 22 lipca 1952 roku została najpełniej przedstawiona przez Mariana Rybickiego, którego zasługą było przede wszystkim zaprezentowanie działalności komisji przy Sekretariacie KC PZPR w latach 1949-1951, oraz w opracowaniach autorstwa Andrzeja Gwiżdżą, koncentrujących się na parlamentarnym aspekcie prac konstytucyjnych. Rolę J. Stalina w powstaniu ustawy zasadniczej PRL uwidoczniły publikacje Andrzeja Garlickiego i Janiny Zakrzewskiej, a także Teresy Torańskiej.
