  The subject of the study is a semantic analysis of the Carpathian words sputňa and putera in the context of language contacts and interference within the Carpathian area, with emphasis placed on Slovak-German language contacts. The main goal of the paper is to subject selected Carpathian words to an analysis with emphasis placed on their semantic structure and etymology. As part of the semantic analysis, I have divided the studied Carpathian words into classification, identification and specification signs. Based on multiple verification of the origin of the selected Carpathian words in domestic and foreign publications, I conclude that both Carpathian words are of German origin.;
  Predmetom štúdie je sémantická analýza karpatizmov putňa a putera v kontexte jazykových kontaktov a interferencie v rámci karpatského areálu s dôrazom na slovensko-nemecké jazykové kontakty. Hlavným cieľom príspevku je podrobiť vybrané karpatizmy analýze s dôrazom na ich sémantickú štruktúru a etymológiu. V rámci sémantickej analýzy sme skúmané karpatizmy rozčlenili na klasifikačné, identifikačné a špecifikačné príznaky. Na základe viacnásobného overenia pôvodu vybraných karpatizmov v domácich a zahraničných publikáciách sme zistili, že oba karpatizmy sú nemeckého pôvodu.
