  The Chancellery of the Mortgage Offices in the Former Prussian Partition in the First Years of the Polish Judiciary, on the Example of the County Courts of the Toruń District

  With the integration of the lands of the former Prussian partition into the Republic of Poland, the former Prussian institutions, including the courts, were also taken over. Their organisation and functioning, therefore, had to be adapted to the new conditions. The same situation was to be found with land registers, the keeping of which was entrusted to county courts, within which mortgage departments were established as counterparts of Prussian land registry offices. The article presents the office procedures used to prepare land books and records during the first period of the Polish judiciary. The article is based on analysing legal acts and archival materials produced by these courts.;
  Wraz z przyłączeniem ziem byłego zaboru pruskiego do Rzeczypospolitej przejęte zostały także dawne instytucje pruskie, w tym sądy. Ich organizacja i funkcjonowanie musiały zostać zatem dostosowane do nowych warunkow. Podobnie było w przypadku instytucji ksiąg gruntowych, ktorych prowadzenie powierzono sądom powiatowym, w ramach ktorych utworzono wydziały hipoteczne, będące odpowiednikami pruskich urzędow ksiąg gruntowych. W artykule przedstawione zostały procedury kancelaryjne stosowane przy sporządzaniu ksiąg i akt gruntowych w pierwszym okresie funkcjonowania polskiego sądownictwa. Podstawą artykułu jest analiza aktow prawnych oraz materiałow archiwalnych wytworzonych przez te sądy.
