On 18 November 2011 the national Polish student conference ”New library dimensions” was held in Wroclaw. The conference was organized by the Library Science Student Association at the University of Wroclaw. The article summarizes the meeting and highlights main issues that were discussed, such as how libraries evolve and how to preserve their unique character.;
Artykuł relacjonuje przebieg odbywającej się pod koniec listopada 2011 r. Ogólnopolskiej Studenckiej Konferencji Naukowej, którą przygotowali studenci z Koła Naukowego Bibliotekoznawców Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego. Celem spotkania był zamiar stworzenia pola do prezentacji przemian jednej z najstarszych instytucji ludzkiej kultury – biblioteki, a także dyskusji na temat sposobów zachowania jej unikalnego charakteru i kulturowego dziedzictwa, przy jednoczesnym jak największym dostosowaniu się do oczekiwań współczesności. Sprawozdanie zawiera podstawowe informacje na temat prezentowanych wystąpień.
