  The Concept of the “Triple Teacher” in Education for a Creative Life

  This article aims to present the concept of the “Triple Teacher”, authored by Zbigniew Marek and Anna Walulik, in the context of educating for a creative life. The focus of the research is a model of education for a creative life, based on empirical studies investigating the relationship between religiosity and creative behaviors. The findings suggest that educational efforts should not be limited to shaping specific behaviors alone. This does not imply abandoning traditional educational practices, but rather calls for a shift in pedagogical thinking and action—referred to as educating for a creative life, which requires not so much cultivating creative behaviors as turning one’s life into a “masterpiece of art” (John Paul II).  The concept of the “Triple Teacher” illustrates this approach, which encompasses the relationships between the External Teacher, the Internal Teacher, and the Transcendent Teacher. In Christianity, the personal God is understood as Transcendent Teacher. The roles of these teachers overlap, complement, and interpenetrate each other. While their boundaries can be difficult to define precisely, they become clearly evident in the process of interpreting educational situations based on a personalistic concept of education. Each of these roles is important for educating individuals to navigate postmodernity and to live a creative life. ;
  Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie idei „potrójnego nauczyciela”, autorstwa Zbigniewa Marka i Anny Walulik, w procesie wychowania do twórczego życia. Przedmiotem prezentowanych badań jest model wychowania do twórczego życia opracowany na podstawie badań empirycznych związku pomiędzy religijnością i zachowaniami twórczymi. Wynika z nich, że działania wychowawcze nie mogą się ograniczać jedynie do kształtowania konkretnych zachowań. Nie oznacza to, że nie należy prowadzić tradycyjnie rozumianych procesów wychowania. Konieczna jest jednak zmiana pedagogicznego myślenia i działania, którą określono mianem wychowania do twórczego życia. Wymaga to nie tyle kształtowania zachowań twórczych, co uczynienia ze swojego życia „arcydzieła sztuki” (Jan Paweł II). Tego rodzaju podejście ilustruje m.in. idea „potrójnego nauczyciela”. Dotyczy ona relacji nauczycielskich między Nauczycielem Zewnętrznym, Wewnętrznym i Transcendentnym. W przypadku chrześcijaństwa Nauczycielem Transcendentnym jest Bóg osobowy. Role poszczególnych nauczycieli zachodzą na siebie, wzajemnie się uzupełniają i przenikają. Chociaż trudno jednoznacznie uchwycić ich granice, to jednocześnie są one wyraźnie zauważalne w procesie interpretacji sytuacji wychowawczych opartych na personalistycznej koncepcji wychowania. Rola każdego z nich jest istotna dla wychowania do życia w ponowoczesności oraz do wychowania do twórczego życia.
