  The article is part of the research area of ​​historical pedeutology. The purpose of the presented text is to reconstruct the pedeutological concept entitled A good teacher in light of the statements made by school youth written by Jadwiga Zaleska. The project was initiated at Kazimierz Sośnicki’s pedagogical seminar. The main subject of the research is the question of what makes a good teacher, the search for his characteristics and conditions for pedagogical activity. The main method of research was the historical and pedagogical analysis of archival and printed sources of the aforementioned subject of research. The first part of the text contains an outlined biography of Jadwiga Zaleska, including her educational path and pedagogical studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. It also provided information about her pedagogical activity. The second part of the text presented the methodological assumptions of research on the subject of “a good teacher” from Jadwiga Zalewska’s point of view and in terms of research results, which were used to create a profile of a good teacher. From these studies a vision emerged of a teacher perceived mainly from a normative perspective. Lastly, the concluding remarks indicated the topicality of the assumptions of Jadwiga Zaleska’s project dedicated to the search for characteristic of a good teacher and the methodological correctness of its implementation.;
  Artykuł wpisuje się w obszar badań pedeutologii historycznej. Celem prezentowanego tekstu jest rekonstrukcja koncepcji pedeutologicznej pt. Dobry nauczyciel w świetle wypowiedzi młodzieży szkolnej, autorstwa Jadwigi Zaleskiej. Projekt powstał na seminarium pedagogicznym Kazimierza Sośnickiego. Głównym przedmiotem badań jest problem charakterystyki dobrego nauczyciela, poszukiwanie jego cech i uwarunkowań działalności pedagogicznej. Zasadniczą metodą badań była analiza historyczno-pedagogiczna źródeł archiwalnych i drukowanych wskazanego przedmiotu badań. W pierwszej części tekstu nakreślona została krótka biografia Jadwigi Zaleskiej, w tym jej droga edukacyjna oraz studia pedagogiczne w Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu. Podano też informacje o jej działalności pedagogicznej. W części drugiej ukazano metodologiczne założenia badań na temat „dobrego nauczyciela” w ujęciu Jadwigi Zalewskiej oraz ich wyniki, które posłużyły do stworzenia profilu dobrego nauczyciela. Z badań tych wyłoniła się wizja nauczyciela postrzeganego głównie w perspektywie normatywnej. W uwagach końcowych wskazano na aktualność założeń projektu Jadwigi Zaleskiej poświęconego poszukiwaniu charakterystyki dobrego nauczyciela oraz poprawność metodologiczną jego realizacji.
