  The article is devoted to the problem of the amount of damages in connection with incurring many detriments by the victim, which are consequences of the same event. Presented concept draws from the two most common in doctrine and case-law views on the selected material. The article is divided into five parts. In the frames of preliminary observations, the definition of harm adopted for the purpose of further considerations and the importance of the subject of research for practice was indicated. In the second part, the assumptions of the theory of the multiplicity of the damage and the principle of unity damage were presented and the evaluation of the these concepts was made. In the third part, the question of the legal classification of enlargement of the damage which subjects to compensation was raised. In the fourth part criteria for demarcation of individual damage were proposed. In the last part the impact on the structure of obligation which arise in case of incurring many detriments by the victim as a result of one event, of the adoption of theses presented in this article was indicated.;
  Artykuł poświęcony jest problemowi liczby szkód powstających w związku z doznaniem przez poszkodowanego wielu uszczerbków stanowiących skutki tego samego zdarzenia. Przedstawiona w nim koncepcja czerpie z dwóch najbardziej rozpowszechnionych w doktrynie i orzecznictwie poglądów dotyczących wybranej materii. Praca podzielona została na pięć części. W ramach uwag wstępnych wskazane zostały definicja szkody przyjęta na potrzeby dalszych rozważań oraz znaczenie przedmiotu badań dla praktyki. W części drugiej przedstawiono założenia teorii wielości szkód i zasady jedności szkody oraz dokonano oceny obu koncepcji. W części trzeciej poruszono kwestię kwalifikacji prawnej powiększenia się uszczerbku podlegającego kompensacji. W części czwartej zaproponowano kryteria rozgraniczania poszczególnych szkód. W ostatniej części wskazano, jaki wpływ na strukturę stosunku obligacyjnego powstającego w razie doznania wielu szkód przez poszkodowanego na skutek jednego zdarzenia ma przyjęcie tez zaprezentowanych w niniejszym artykule.
