  The article focuses on the characteristics of the constitutional grounds for functioning of the professional self-government association of tax advisors in Poland. The initial part of the article includes presentation of the definition of self-government, professional self-government association, and the problem of the so-called constitutionality of self-government of professions of public trust, including tax advisors. A very important element is presentation of the duty of professional self-government associations of tax advisors to exercise supervision over proper performance of the profession. The objective of the article, on the background of the deliberations, is to answer the question of whether it is possible to eliminate this professional self-government association – the answer I provided in the conclusions is negative.;
  Głównym przedmiotem prowadzonych rozważań jest charakterystyka konstytucyjnych podstaw funkcjonowania samorządu zawodowego doradców podatkowych w Polsce. W ramach zagadnień wstępnych przedstawiłem: pojęcie samorządu, samorządu zawodowego i problematykę tzw. konstytucjonalizacji samorządów zawodów zaufania publicznego z uwzględnieniem samorządu doradców podatkowych. Niezwykle istotnym elementem jest również zaprezentowanie obowiązku sprawowania pieczy samorządu zawodowego doradców podatkowych nad należytym wykonywaniem zawodu. Celem artykułu na tle prowadzonych rozważań stało się udzielenie odpowiedzi na pytanie: czy możliwa jest likwidacja tego samorządu zawodowego? W podsumowaniu (na tak postawione pytanie) udzieliłem odpowiedzi negatywnej.
