  The author attempts to diagnose autonomisation as an organisational pathology of public higher education institutions in Poland which results from the erosion of academic ethos and poorer efficiency of higher education institutions as entities with a potential for opposition. He criticises the entrepreneurial university model in view of the dangers of further autonomisation that implementation of such a model may entail. The analysis draws on the concept of organisational pathologies, which enables a multi-faceted examination of the problem.;
  Autor podejmuje próbę diagnozy autonomizacji jako patologii organizacyjnej uczelni państwowych w Polsce, będącej skutkiem erozji etosu akademickiego i osłabienia efektywności funkcjonowania uczelni jako instytucji o potencjale sprzeciwu. Krytyce poddaje model uniwersytetu przedsiębiorczego ze względu na niebezpieczeństwo pogłębiania autonomizacji wynikające z wdrażania jego założeń. Do analiz wykorzystuje koncepcję badawczą patologii organizacyjnych, umożliwiającą wieloaspektowe spojrzenie na tytułowy problem.
