  The present paper aims to draw attention to the problem of phraseological units in the translation of Polish legal texts into German. The paper is divided into two main parts. The first part is devoted to the theoretical outline of phraseology for special purposes considering particularly the phraseology of legal texts. The second part is an empirical one and discusses translation difficulties which result from linguistic and cultural differences. Translation problems are presented on the basis of two translations of the Polish commercial code into German.;
  Artykuł stanowi próbę przybliżenia problematyki tłumaczenia frazeologizmów polskiego języka prawnego na język niemiecki. Tekst składa się z dwóch głównych części, z których pierwsza to zarys teoretyczny zagadnień związanych z frazeologią specjalistyczną, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem frazeologii języka prawnego i prawniczego. Druga część jest poświęcona omówieniu wybranych problemów tłumaczeniowych, wynikających z różnic językowych i kulturowych, na przykładzie dwóch przekładów kodeksu spółek handlowych na język niemiecki.
