  Der Beitrag rekurriert auf die Handschrift des Epigramms De monarchiis von Philipp Melanchthon, das Michael Falck (1575–1624) 1607 der Gymnasialbibliothek in Thorn schenkte. Die Vergleichsanalyse der Handschrift bewies, dass das Manuskript ein Originalautograph Melanchthons ist, was die langjährige Tradition bestätigt, die von seiner Authentizität sprach. Der Autor des Epigramms fertigte die meisten Abschriften des Gedichts in den Jahren 1556–1558 an und verteilte sie höchstwahrscheinlich an seine Verwandten und Bekannten. Sie unterschieden sich voneinander durch die Länge: Einige von ihnen zählten acht elegische Disticha, die übrigen nur sieben. Die Unterschiede zwischen ihnen beschränkten sich nicht nur auf die Versezahl, sondern umfassten auch verschiedene Textfassungen in einigen Abschnitten. Berücksichtigt wurden sie im kritischen Apparat des edierten Textes, in dem man auch verschiedene Druckausgaben des Epigramms in Betracht zog. Im zweiten Teil des Artikels schilderte man kurz den Inhalt des Werkes und seine Interpretation vor allem vor dem Hintergrund der politischen Situation in der Epoche, in der Melanchthon lebte. Hinzugefügt wurde auch die isometrische Übersetzung des Epigramms, vorbereitet vom Doktoranden der Philologischen Fakultät der Nikolaus-Kopernikus-Universität in Thorn, Mag. Piotr Osiński.;
  The article addresses various issues connected with the manuscript of the epigram De monarchiis by Philip Melanchton and donated in 1607 by Michael Falck (1575–1624) to the gymnasium school library in Torun. The comparative research of the manuscript has proved that it is the original work by Melanchton. The author of the epigram made a substantial number of copies of the poem in the years 1556–1558, which he later gave to his family and friends. They differed in the number of verses: some of them included eight elegiac couplets, while others only seven. The differences between them were not limited only to the number of verses, but they also included varieties of the text in some passages. They were taken into account in the criticism of the edited text, which also included various editions of the epigram. The second part of the article discusses briefly the content of the epigram and its interpretation in the context of the political situation of the epoch when Melanchton lived. The author enclosed the isometric translations of the epigram prepared by Piotr Osiński, the PhD student at the Philological Faculty of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.;
  W artykule zostały omówione różne zagadnienia związane z rękopisem epigramatu De monarchiis ułożonego przez Filipa Melanchtona i podarowanego w roku 1607 przez Michała Falcka (1575–1624) bibliotece gimnazjalnej w Toruniu. Badania porównawcze rękopisu dowiodły, iż manuskrypt ten jest oryginalnym autografem Melanchtona, co potwierdza wielowiekową tradycję, która mówiła o jego autentyczności. Autor epigramatu w latach 1556–1558 sporządził większą liczbę odpisów wiersza, którymi najwyraźniej obdarowywał swoich bliskich i znajomych. Różniły się one długością: jedne z nich liczyły sobie osiem dystychów elegijnych, pozostałe tylko siedem. Różnice pomiędzy nimi nie ograniczały się do liczby wersów, ale obejmowały one także rozmaite odmianki tekstu w niektórych passusach. Zostały one uwzględnione w aparacie krytycznym edytowanego tekstu, w którym wzięto pod uwagę także różne wydania drukiem epigramatu. W drugiej części artykułu została omówiona krótko treść utworu i jego interpretacja zwłaszcza na tle sytuacji politycznej epoki, w której żył Melanchton. Dołączono także przekład izometryczny epigramatu, który przygotował słuchacz studium doktoranckiego na Wydziale FilologicznymUniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu, mgr Piotr Osiński.
