  Opracowanie jest jedną z nielicznych monografii regionalnych podejmujących kwestię obecności Armii Czerwonej na ziemiach polskich po zakończeniu II wojny światowej. W artykule podjęto próbę oceny książki oraz polemiki z ustaleniami Autora, ponieważ kreślony przez niego obraz stacjonowania żołnierzy radzieckich w województwie poznańskim w latach 1945–1946 pozostaje niepełny.
