  The issues addressed in this study revolve around the question of ordination and ministries in the traditions of the Christian Orient. The first two sections of the article present their classification and explain differences in terminology between the Eastern Churches and the Roman Catholic Church. The last two sections discuss the main lines of development of ordination rites and ministries in the East and in the West, identifying similarities and differences in the structure of their celebration—especially with regard to their essential core, that is, the imposition of hands combined with prayer.;
  Problematyka niniejszego studium oscyluje wokół kwestii święceń i posług w tradycjach chrześcijańskiego Orientu. Pierwsze dwa punkty artykułu przedstawiają ich klasyfikację oraz   różnice w zakresie terminologii pomiędzy Kościołami wschodnimi a Kościołem rzymskokatolickim. Natomiast w ostatnich dwóch punktach zostały omówione głównych linie rozwoju obrzędów święceń i posług na Wschodzie i na Zachodzie oraz wyodrębnione podobieństwa i różnic w strukturze ich celebracji, zwłaszcza jeśli chodzi o ich zasadniczy rdzeń, jakim jest nałożenie rąk połączone z modlitwą.
