  The ability to read and write is one of the fundamental skills in today's world. The very process of acquiring it is complex, requiring the involvement of many senses, good work of the central nervous system, good development of intelligence, motor skills and coordination. Increasingly, children are diagnosed with dyslexia or dysgraphia and receive appropriate treatment. It is not always sufficient, although the child does not have intellectual deficits. This may be due to decreased muscle tone. This article aims to verify which methods and principles of learning to read and write for children with low muscle tone are appropriate. The main question was whether, assuming as above, these children are able to keep pace with their healthy peers at public school.;
  Umiejętność czytania i pisania należy do podstawowych w dzisiejszym świecie. Sam proces jej nabywania jest złożony, wymagający zaangażowania wielu zmysłów, dobrej pracy ośrodkowego układu nerwowego, dobrego rozwoju inteligencji, motoryki i koordynacji. Coraz częściej dzieci mają diagnozowaną dysleksję lub dysgrafię i są poddawane odpowiedniej terapii. Nie zawsze jest ona wystarczająca, choć dziecko nie posiada deficytów intelektualnych. Powodem może być obniżone napięcie mięśniowe. Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu zweryfikowanie jakie metody i zasady w zakresie nauki czytania i pisania dla dzieci z obniżonym napięciem mięśniowym są właściwe. Pytanie badawcze dotyczyło tego, czy przy założeniu jak powyżej dzieci te są w stanie dotrzymać kroku zdrowym rówieśnikom w szkole.
