The aim of the article is to trace the development of the personalistic concept of education towards an attitude of responsibility for the natural environment, drawing on the social thought of the popes of the Catholic Church. The article is based on selected official documents and statements of Popes John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis, primarily papal encyclicals addressed to bishops, priests, and deacons, members of religious orders, and all the lay faithful. The article has a chronological structure, organized thematically. The research was conducted within the interpretive paradigm of the humanities and social sciences, using qualitative methods such as textual analysis and hermeneutic interpretation.;
Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie linii rozwojowej kształtowania personalistycznej koncepcji procesu wychowania do postawy odpowiedzialności za środowisko naturalne na przykładzie myśli społecznej papieży Kościoła katolickiego. Artykuł powstał na bazie wybranych oficjalnych dokumentów i wypowiedzi papieży Jana XXIII, Pawła VI, Jana Pawła II, Benedykta XVI, Franciszka, przede wszystkim encyklik papieskich kierowanych do biskupów, prezbiterów i diakonów, do osób konsekrowanych i wszystkich wiernych świeckich. Opracowanie ma strukturę chronologiczną (w ramach problemowego układu treści). Problem badań został osadzony w paradygmacie interpretatywnym nauk humanistycznych/społecznych, zastosowano metody badań jakościowych (jakościowa analiza tekstu, rozumienie hermeneutyczne).
