The essay also refers to the category of transcreation and the art of translation, which constituted a negation of historical categories of originality and innovativeness, typically associated with the notion of the avant-garde – the source of American modernism in poetry.;
Szkic dotyczy przekładu Gniazdka dudków (1969) Johna Ashbery’ego i Jamesa Schuylera na język polski autorstwa Tadeusza Pióry i Andrzeja Sosnowskiego. Punktem odniesienia jest teza Marjorie Perloff o „nieoryginalności geniuszu” w sztuce neoawangardowej. Autorka szkicu odnosi się do kategorii transkreacji, sztuki translacji, już u źródeł amerykańskiego modernizmu w poezji stanowiącej zaprzeczenie historycznych kategorii oryginalności i innowacyjności, wiązanych zwykle z pojęciem awangardy.
