  In the Thomas Aquinas’s commentaries to the pauline letters can be found a very close example of the today so-called theological exegesis. In the specific case of his commentary to Ef 6,10–17, Thomas, convinced on the unity of the Sacred Scripture, discovers a number of biblical parallels which help to a better understanding of the text. He shows knowledge of the patristic exegesis on this passage as well. But, at the same time, he explains it in an original and pedagogical way.  ;
  En los comentarios de Tomas de Aquino a las cartas paulinas encontramos un ejemplo muy cercano a lo que hoy llamamos exegesis teologica. En el caso concreto de su comentario a Ef 6,10–17, Tomas, convencido de la unidad de la Sagrada Escritura, descubre numerosos pasajes paralelos, que ayudan a entender mejor el texto. Demuestra, tambien, conocimiento de la exegesis patristica a este pasaje. Pero, al mismo tiempo, explica el pasaje de una forma original y pedagogica.;

Pokazuje się także jako znawca egzegezy patrystycznej i jednocześnie wyjaśnia wszystko w oryginalny i pedagogiczny sposób.
