Asertywność jest konieczną umiejętnością szczególnie w sytuacji, gdy w związek małżeński wchodzą osoby, których oczekiwania mogą różnić się znacznie w wielu zakresach życia małżeńskiego ze względu na ich tożsamość kulturową.
