  The article concerns crucial issues connected with logistic management in the furniture trade. It also describes characteristics of this trade, its place and its import_ance in the Polish eceonomy. The article emphasizes the place of logistics in the company and it describes basic logistic processes: supply, production and distribution. Special attention has been drawn to the flow of information between those processes.The process of the flow of information is characerised with the help of properly fitted computer system on the basis of a particular furniture company.;
  W artykule zaprezentowano wybrane zagadnienia związane z logistyką przedsiębiorstwa z branży meblarskiej. Przedstawiono charakterystykę tego przemysłu, jego miejsce i znaczenie w gospodarce polskiej. Podkreślono miejsce logistyki w przedsiębiorstwie poprzez omówienie podstawowych procesów logistycznych, takich jak zaopatrzenie, produkcja, dystrybucja. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na przepływ informacji pomiędzy tymi procesami.Na przykładzie wybranego przedsiębiorstwa meblarskiego scharakteryzowano proces przepływu informacji za pomocą właściwie dobranego systemu informatycznego.
