Znaczenie Francji w jego kalkulacjach wzrosło po zakończeniu I wojny, kiedy znalazła się w gronie decydentów przyszłego ładu światowego. Piłsudskiemu i jemu obozowi udało się porozumieć z Komitetem Narodowym w Paryżu i wspólnie występować wobec władz francuskich. Piłsudski wprawdzie zrealizował swój cel pozyskania Francji po I wojnie, ale stosunki z tym mocarstwem w dużym stopniu wiązały się z problemem rosyjskim i konfliktem polsko-bolszewickim. The article deals with the period after Piłsudski’s arrival to Warsaw in November 1918 and covers the whole year 1919, i.e. the duration of the Peace Conference in Paris. For Piłsudski, France was an important political and military European power. The importance of France in his political calculations increased after the end of World War I, when France was included in the group of decision makers on the future world order. Piłsudski and his camp managed to reach an agreement with the National Committee in Paris and jointly act against the French authorities. Although Piłsudski had reached his goal of winning France after World War I, the relations with this power were difficult from the beginning, strained by the Russian problem and the Polish-Bolshevik conflict.
