  In meinem Diskussionsbeitrag möchte ich das Problem der Ausbeutung der Kriegsgefangen, durch das Nazi-Regime während der Besetzungszeit im Regierungsbezirk Kattowitz, vorstellen. Speziell möchte ich meine Aufmerksamkeit auf die Ausbeutung der Kriegsgefangen konzentrieren, die sich im Stammlager Cieszyn befanden und der Wehrmacht im VIII. Wehrkreis in Wrocław untergeordnet waren. Jetzt paar Worte über das Stammlager in Cieszyn. Das tesohener Stammlager war eines der größeren Kriegsgefangenenlager im VIII. Wehrkreis, neben solchen wie das Stammlager in Zgorzelec, Łambinowice, Żagań und Nowa Kuźnia bei Opole. Den Anfang des Stammlagers in Cieszyn, genannt Stammlager VIII D, notieren wir im Frühjahr 1941. Der größte Teil der Gefangenen waren Franzosen, Belgier, Jugoslawen und ab November 1941 auch Polen. Außer ihnen waren auch andere Nationalitäten repräsentiert. In dieser Zeit überschritt die allgemeine Zahl der Kriegsgefangenen im Stammlager nicht 7000 Gefangene.;
  In my contribution to the discussion I would like to present the problem of the exploitation of prisoners of war by the Nazi regime during the occupation of the Katowice administrative district. I would like to focus my attention specifically on the exploitation of prisoners of war who were in the Cieszyn main camp and were subordinate to the Wehrmacht in the VIII Military District in Wrocław. Now a few words about the main camp in Cieszyn. The main camp in Cieszyn was one of the larger prisoner of war camps in the VIII Military District, alongside such camps as the main camps in Zgorzelec, Łambinowice, Żagań and Nowa Kuźnia near Opole. The beginning of the main camp in Cieszyn, called Main Camp VIII D, dates back to the spring of 1941. The majority of the prisoners were French, Belgians, Yugoslavs and, from November 1941, Poles. Other nationalities were also represented. During this period, the total number of prisoners of war in the main camp did not exceed 7,000.;
  W swoim wkładzie do dyskusji chciałbym przedstawić problematykę wykorzystywania jeńców wojennych przez reżim nazistowski w czasie okupacji na terenie Katowic. W szczególności chciałbym zwrócić uwagę na eksploatację jeńców wojennych znajdujących się w obozie macierzystym w Cieszynie i podlegających Wehrmachtowi w VIII Okręgu Wojskowym we Wrocławiu. Teraz kilka słów o obozie głównym w Cieszynie. Obóz główny w Tesohen był jednym z większych obozów jenieckich w VIII Okręgu Wojskowym, obok takich jak obóz główny w Zgorzelcu, Łambinowicach, Żaganiu i Nowej Kuźni k. Opola. Początek istnienia obozu macierzystego w Cieszynie, zwanego obozem głównym VIII D, obserwujemy wiosną 1941 r. Więźniowie stanowili głównie Francuzi, Belgowie, Jugosłowianie, a od listopada 1941 r. także Polacy. Oprócz nich reprezentowane były także inne narodowości. W tym czasie ogólna liczba jeńców wojennych w obozie macierzystym nie przekraczała 7000 jeńców.
