  The article presents a comparative analysis of the economic development of the kujawsko-pomorskie province in the years 2003 and2007. Asynthetic measure of the development of communes (‘gmina’) was created for the research purposes. On the basis of the measure the communes were classified and divided into groups of a similar level of development. Additionally, the comparative analysis was broadened by the use of the tools of spatial statistics which enabled to consider the existing spatial relations.;
  W artykule przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą rozwoju ekonomicznego województwa kujawsko-pomorskiego w latach 2003 oraz 2007. Dla celów badania utworzony został syntetyczny miernik rozwoju gmin, na podstawie którego dokonano ich uporządkowania oraz podzielono na grupy o podobnym poziomie rozwoju. Analiza porównawcza poszerzona została o wykorzystanie narzędzi statystyki przestrzennej, co pozwoliło na uwzględnienie istniejących zależności przestrzennych.
