  Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden Titelseiten britischer Printmedien fokussiert, die am 31. Januar und 1. Februar 2020 veröffentlicht wurden und den endgültigen EU-Austritt desVereinigten Königreichs thematisieren. Im Mittelpunkt der Aufmerksamkeit steht der Begriff Infotainment als Mittel, Informationen auf eine unterhaltsame Art und Weise zu präsentieren und die Aufmerksamkeit der Leser zu gewinnen. Im analytischen Teil wird auf die Intertextualität im weiteren Sinne zurückgegriffen, die verbale und visuelle Verweise auf andere Textproduktionen umfasst. Außer allgemeinen Bemerkungen zu unterschiedlichen medialen Repräsentationen von Brexit bietet der Artikel eine detailliertere Analyse von drei bemerkenswerten Titelseiten, auf denen vieles implizit kommuniziert und der (spielerischen) Interpretation des Lesers überlassen wird.;
  The following paper discusses front pages of British newspapers and magazines published on 31 January and 1 February 2020 and referring to the final withdrawal of the UK from the EU. The main goal of the analysis is to explore the idea of infotainment as a means to inform, entertain and capture the readers’ attention. The article draws on intertextuality in its broad sense involving verbal and visual references across particular texts. Apart from general remarks on divergent media representations of Brexit the article offers a more detailed analysis of three particularly noteworthy front pages where much is implicitly communicated and left to the (playful) interpretation of the reader.;
  Tematem artykułu są okładki brytyjskich gazet i czasopism z 31 stycznia oraz 1 lutego 2020 r. odnoszące się do wyjścia Wielkiej Brytanii z UE. Celem analizy jest zbadanie zjawiska tzw.infotainment polegającego na połączeniu przekazu informacyjnego oraz rozrywkowego we współczesnych mediach, stanowiącego jeden ze sposobów przyciągania uwagi czytelnika. Praca nawiązuje do szeroko rozumianej kategorii intertekstualności, obejmującej werbalne oraz wizualne odniesienia do innych egzemplarzy tekstowych. Oprócz ogólnych uwag na temat różnych sposobów medialnej reprezentacji brexitu artykuł zawiera bardziej szczegółową analizę trzech wybranych okładek komunikujących wiele treści nie wprost lecz polegających na interpretacji czytelnika.
