  In her short life, Blessed Blandine Merten (1883–1918) attained the goal of Christian vocation, that is, the profound union with God in faith and love. In her childhood, she was sensitized to God and other people by her parents and her wise, religious teachers, through their spirit of service and attention to the needs of others. The source from which she learned to draw inspiration was prayer and desire to follow Jesus. Blessed Blandine continued to walk her chosen path throughout her years as a teacher. Through her religious vocation as an Ursuline, she gave herself completely to God and to the mission of accompanying children and young people on their path of growth in faith. Although she did not accomplish great works in her life, everything she did was permeated with her love for God and for other people. She was obedient to God’s guidance and offered herself to Him in every circumstance of her life. The relevance of Blessed Blandine’s mission for today lies in the mystery of her life: by her service to others and by embracing suffering, she continues to be an encouraging example of how to put trust in God day after day, moment by moment, and thus let Him lead us to a full and happy life.;
  Błogosławiona Blandyna Merten (1883–1918) w swym krótkim życiu osiągnęła cel chrześcijańskiego powołania, jakim jest pełne zjednoczenie z Bogiem w wierze i miłości. W domu rodzinnym oraz pod wpływem mądrych, wierzących nauczycieli kształtowała się jej wrażliwość na Boga i człowieka. Dokonywało się to w duchu służby i uważności na potrzebujących pomocy. Źródłem, z którego nauczyła się czerpać inspirację, była modlitwa i pragnienie naśladowania Jezusa. W latach swej pracy nauczycielskiej bł. Blandyna szła wiernie obraną wcześniej drogą. Poprzez powołanie zakonne jako urszulanki oddała się całkowicie Bogu i towarzyszeniu dzieciom oraz młodzieży na drodze rozwoju wiary. Choć nie dokonywała w swym życiu wielkich dzieł, jednak wszystko, co robiła, było przeniknięte miłością do Boga i każdego człowieka. Była uległa na Boże prowadzenie oraz na to, by we wszystkich okolicznościach Jemu się oddawać. W tajemnicy życia s. Blandyny tkwi jej misyjne posłannictwo na dziś. Poprzez służbę bliźnim i przyjęte cierpienie jest stale zachęcającym przykładem do tego, by zawierzając Bogu dzień po dniu oraz chwila po chwili pozwolić Mu, by prowadził nas do życia w pełni szczęśliwego.
