The author's aim is to show Polish attempts to implement Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons reporting infringements of Union law. The purpose for which these solutions were created is to improve the enforcement of EU laws and policies in specific areas by establishing common minimum standards ensuring an adequate level of protection for whistleblowers. To date, Poland has not fulfilled its obligation to implement EU law. The final finished whistleblower protection law was to enter into force on 17 December 2021 at the latest. Currently (as of 1 December 2022), Poland only has a draft law on the protection of whistleblowers - the legislative process is still ongoing.
