  The aim of this publication is to present the ethical dilemmas and the position of the Catholic Church regarding the use of artificial intelligence in in vitro fertilization procedures. The article outlines the standard course of the IVF process, reviews research findings on the application of artificial intelligence in embryo selection, and discusses the resulting ethical issues. The primary research method was the analysis and synthesis of scientific literature and the teachings of the Catholic Church. The conclusions indicate that, although the use of artificial intelligence increases the technical efficiency of embryo selection, it does not alter the moral evaluation of the IVF procedure, which remains unacceptable from the Catholic perspective.;
  Celem publikacji jest przedstawienie dylematów etycznych oraz stanowiska Kościoła katolickiego w odniesieniu do wykorzystania sztucznej inteligencji w procedurze zapłodnienia in vitro. Artykuł przedstawia klasyczny przebieg procedury sztucznego zapłodnienia, wyniki badań nad zastosowaniem sztucznej inteligencji w selekcji zarodków, a także wynikające z tego problemy etyczne. Podstawową metodą badawczą była analiza i synteza literatury naukowej oraz nauczania Kościoła katolickiego. Wnioski wskazują, że choć wykorzystanie sztucznej inteligencji zwiększa techniczną skuteczność selekcji zarodków, nie zmienia to moralnej oceny procedury in vitro, która z perspektywy katolickiej pozostaje nie do przyjęcia.
