The purpose of the article is to show the issue of saving and financial knowledge in the context of the economic challenges of the modern economy. For this purpose, a study was conducted using a questionnaire on a group of students of the University of Information Technology and Management based in Rzeszow. The research attempted to verify the hypothesis on the existence of the relationship between the financial knowledge possessed and positive attitudes towards saving. The analyses conducted confirm the positive relationship between income growth and the amount of cash saved, while at the same time indicating that there is no correlation between possessed financial knowledge and attitudes towards saving among the surveyed students.;
Celem artykułu jest ukazanie problematyki oszczędzania oraz wiedzy finansowej w kontekście wyzwań gospodarczych współczesnej gospodarki. W tym celu przeprowadzono badania z wykorzystaniem kwestionariusza na grupie studentów Wyższej Szkoły Informatyki i Zarządzania z siedzibą w Rzeszowie. W ramach badań podjęto próbę weryfikacji hipotezy dotyczącej istnienia związku między posiadaną wiedzą finansową a pozytywnymi postawami wobec oszczędzania. Przeprowadzone analizy potwierdzają pozytywne relacje między wzrostem dochodów a ilością oszczędzanej gotówki, równocześnie wskazując na brak korelacji między posiadaną wiedza finansową a postawami wobec oszczędzania wśród badanych studentów.
