  The purpose of this article is to show the importance of parish pastoral councils (PPC) in the implementation of the Church’s evangelising mission, which is expressed by influencing the shape and effectiveness of parish pastoral care. Accordingly, within the paradigm of pastoral-theological analysis, the article first shows the role of PPC in the light of Church teaching. It then presents what, based on research, is the image of the PPC in Poland. The article ends with conclusions and pastoral imperatives for the PPC to become a real and fruitful structure of joint responsibility of the laity for the mission of the parish community.;
  Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie znaczenia parafi alnych rad duszpasterskich (PRD) w realizacji ewangelizacyjnej misji Kościoła, co wyraża się poprzez oddziaływanie na kształt i skuteczność duszpasterstwa parafialnego. W związku z powyższym w ramach paradygmatu analizy pastoralnoteologicznej artykuł w pierwszej części ukazuje rolę PRD w świetle nauczania Kościoła. Następnie przedstawia, jaki na podstawie badań jest obraz PRD w Polsce. Artykuł podsumowują wnioski oraz imperatywy pastoralne, aby PRD stawały się faktyczną i owocną strukturą współodpowiedzialności laikatu za realizację misji wspólnoty parafialnej.
