The subjunctive is the most complex mood in both the Spanish and the Italian languages. Currently, there are many Italians who use the indicative mood at a colloquial level instead of the subjunctive one (something that does not happen in Spanish, thus it has more vivacity and it is still frequently used). In fact, a future subjunctive form, which was commonly used during the Medieval Period but nowadays has little functional efficiency, has been preserved. This article is aimed at showing the similarities and the differences between these two languages during the Early Middle Ages through the analysis of several chapters of Boccaccio’s Decameron in its first translation to Spanish. To an extent, these resemblances and differentiations could be extrapolated to the present day.;
Il congiuntivo è uno dei modi più complessi sia dell’italiano che dello spagnolo. Al giorno d’oggi sono sempre più gli italiani che usano le forme dell’indicativo a livello colloquiale, una tendenza meno visibile nel caso del castigliano, dove questo modo gode di una maggiore vivacità e continua ad essere regolarmente utilizzato – infatti si è conservato il congiuntivo futuro, il quale, benché abbia attualmente uno scarso rendimento funzionale, veniva spesso impiegato durante il Medioevo –. Quest’articolo ha dunque lo scopo di mostrare, attraverso l’analisi di diversi capitoli della prima traduzione castigliana del Decameron di Boccaccio, le similitudini e le differenze che entrambe le lingue presentano durante il Basso Medioevo e che, in un certo senso, sono estrapolabili all’Età contemporanea.;
Tryb łączący jest jednym z najtrudniejszych trybów zarówno w języku włoskim, jak i hiszpańskim. W mowie potocznej Włosi mają tendencję do ograniczenia jego stosowania. Przeciwną tendecję obserwuje się w dialekcie kastylijskim, gdzie tryb łączący cieszy się wciąż dużą popularnością i jest regularnie używany – zachował się tu nawet czas przyszły trybu łączącego, który często stosowano w średniowieczu. Artykuł ten ma na celu przedstawienie, poprzez analizę kilku rozdziałów przekładu „Dekameronu” Giovanniego Boccaccia z włoskiego na kastylijski, podobieństw i różnic obu języków w średniowieczu i które w pewnym zakresie zachowały się do czasów nowożytnych.
