  The aim of the article is to compare methods of collecting and analysing data from empirical studies to the tenets of the social representations theory. It focuses on discerning the utility and possibilities of applying the constructivist paradigm to research carried out in the field of education. The chosen methods of collecting data (individual and group interviews, participatory observation) and analysing data (the analysis of documents) within the frames of qualitative research for pedagogical objects of representation (e.g. the work of a teacher, a change in the educational system) are presented.;
  Celem artykułu jest porównanie metod gromadzenia i analizy danych z badań empirycznych z założeniami teorii reprezentacji społecznych. Koncentruje się na rozeznaniu użyteczności i możliwości zastosowania paradygmatu konstruktywistycznego do badań prowadzonych w dziedzinie edukacji. Zostały zaprezentowane wybrane metody zbierania danych (wywiady indywidualne i grupowe, obserwacja uczestnicząca) i analizy danych (analiza dokumentów) w ramach badań jakościowych dla pedagogicznych obiektów reprezentacji (np. praca nauczyciela, zmiana systemu edukacji).
