  The aim of the article was to analyze what is currently written about Nicolaus Copernicus in history textbooks, both in Poland and Germany. Based on several dozen textbooks intended for secondary school students, the authors examined the substantive content (author's text and supplementary texts) as well as the didactic setting (mainly illustrations). The obtained results were compared to previous research that concerned the image of Copernicus in textbooks in Germany, Poland, Russia and Lithuania throughout the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. Finally, educational trends in both countries are indicated, which are visible in the manner and forms of the textbook narrative about Nicolaus Copernicus.;
  Celem artykułu było ustalenie co obecnie pisze się o Mikołaju Koperniku w podręcznikach historii, zarówno w Polsce, jak i w Niemczech. Badaniom poddano kilkadziesiąt podręczników przeznaczonych dla młodzieży ponadpodstawowej. Autorki zbadały treści merytoryczne (tekst autorski i teksty uzupełniające), a także obudowę dydaktyczną (głównie ilustracje). Uzyskane wyniki zostały poprzedzone odwołaniem się do wcześniejszych badań, które dotyczyły obrazu Kopernika w podręcznikach Niemiec, Polski, Rosji i Litwy w całym XX w. i początkach XXI. Na zakończenie wskazano tendencje edukacyjne w obu krajach, które są widoczne w sposobie i formach podręcznikowej narracji o Mikołajku Koperniku.
