The article is an attempt to show education on the example of one of the federal states of Germany, which is Hesse. It focuses on the multiculturalism of not only the federal state, but, above all, education itself. It shows the multifaceted nature of education, which is a consequence of very complex demographic structures, cultural codes, and the phenomenon of social stratification that are part of the social reality of German schools, including schools in Hesse. The aim of the article is to show the characteristic features of educational levels and forms in Hessian schools, to indicate the migration background in Hesse and, at the same time, to show the place of children of Polish migrants fulfilling compulsory schooling. It contains information about the demographic structure of the federal state, including Poles and Polish school age children. It shows the characteristics of Hessian education, including the types of general education schools and the characteristics of the migration background at individual levels of education.;
Artykuł jest próbą ukazania edukacji na przykładzie jednego z krajów związkowych Niemiec, jakim jest Hesja. Skupia się on na wielokulturowości nie tylko landu, ale przede wszystkim samej edukacji. Ukazuje wieloaspektowość w edukacji, będącej konsekwencją bardzo złożonych struktur demograficznych, kodów kulturowych, zjawiska stratyfikacji społecznej, wpisujących się w rzeczywistość społeczną niemieckich szkół, w tym także szkół w Hesji.Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie charakterystycznych cech poziomów i form edukacyjnych w heskich szkołach, wskazanie tła migracyjnego w Hesji z jednoczesnym ukazaniem miejsca dzieci polskich migrantów realizujących obowiązek szkolny. Tekst zawiera informacje o strukturze demograficznej landu, w tym Polaków i dzieci polskich w wieku szkolnym. Ukazuje charakterystykęszkolnictwa heskiego, w tym rodzaje szkół ogólnokształcących, i charakterystykę tła migracyjnego na poszczególnych poziomach edukacji.
