The paper is a review of the state of research on administration in Poland in the period of the nobility, conducted on the basis of scientific publications, coursebooks and other source materials published between 1995 and 2007. The main focus has been put on the key theses presented in monographs and papers on the history of old Polish administration. It includes issues like the development of central and local administration, the rise of the bureaucratic system and fiscal administration, the establishment of various public offices and the corps of civil servants. Many papers deal widely with central organs of government and administration such as: fiscal, educational, health service, territorial, local self-governing and other temporary units of insurgent administration. Other focus on the administrative law and the administrative thought then being created and developed. The paper ends with five theses based on the current state of research, which provide a good characteristics of the administration functioning in the nobility.;
L'article present l'etat de recherche sur l'administration de la Republique ≪ nobiliaire ≫ de Pologne a la base des publications parues dans les annes 1995-2007. Il present aussi les manuels de l'histoire de l'administration publies dans ce temps ainsi que les editions de sources concernantes celle-ci. La partie principale de l'article est consacree a la presentations des theses elaborees dans les travaux monographiques et dans les articles consacres a l'histoire de l'administration de la Pologne ancienne. Parmi les livres se trouvent les travaux analysants les processus de la formation des organes de l'administration fiscales, des offices et du corps bureaucratique. La problematique plus vaste fait l'objet des articles consacres aux organes centraux du caractere gouvernemental ou a l'administration fiscale et scolaire, a celle de la protection de la sante, a l'administration territoriale et locale. Dans les articles on traitait aussi les questions des offices locaux, de l'administration temporaire etablie aux temps des insurrections contre la Russie par les insurges. Certains travaux sont consacres a l'evolution du droit administratif et de la pensee administrative. Dans la conclusion figurent 5 theses concernantes l'administration de la Pologne ancienne d'apres l'etat actuel de recherche.;
Rzeczpospolita Obojga Narodów jednoczyła ziemie Królestwa Polskiego i Wielkiego Księstwa Litewskiego o obszarze ok. 1 miliona km2. Kraj ten zamieszkiwało ok. 8-10 milionów ludności. Było to państwo wielonarodowe i zróżnicowane pod względem religijnym. Pod nazwą „Rzeczpospolita” wspólne polsko-litewskie państwo, obejmujące ziemie dzisiejszej Polski, Litwy, Białorusi, Ukrainy, a także Łotwy i Estonii, występowało na arenie międzynarodowej. Nie używano tej nazwy w tytulaturze panującego monarchy, który tradycyjnie nosił tytuły króla Polski i wielkiego księcia Litwy oraz władcy wielu innych ziem. Natomiast była ona stosowana w dokumentach oficjalnych, aktach prawnych i traktatach międzynarodowych.
