  The subject of reflection are the letters of Marcin Babraj to Anna Kamieńska, deposited in the National Museum in Lublin. The article presents the problem of genesis of the Notebook, a work by Anna Kamieńska, in the light of the above-mentioned correspondence. It focuses on two problems – the author’s cooperation with the editor and censorship. It presents information on the time and circumstances when the idea of publishing the work came into being, the perplexities connected with its fragmentary publication, censorship control over both literary works and private letters to Kamieńska. The article draws attention to the complicated creative process of the Notebook and helps to establish some of the basic facts about its genesis, at the same time attempting to pose questions about the editorial consequences arising from these facts.;
  Przedmiotem refleksji są listy Marcina Babraja do Anny Kamieńskiej zdeponowane w Muzeum Narodowym w Lublinie. Artykuł przedstawia problem genezy powstania "Notatnika", dzieła Anny Kamieńskiej, w świetle nadmienionej korespondencji. Skupiono się na dwóch problemach – współpracy autorki z redaktorem oraz cenzury. Przedstawiono informacje na temat czasu i okoliczności powstania pomysłu o publikacji dzieła, perypetii związanych z jego odcinkowym publikowaniem, kontroli cenzorskiej zarówno dzieł literackich, jak i listów prywatnych do Kamieńskiej. Artykuł zwraca uwagę na skomplikowany proces twórczy "Notatnika" oraz pomaga ustalić podstawowe fakty dotyczące jego genezy, jednocześnie podejmując próbę postawienia pytań o wynikające z tych faktów konsekwencje edytorskie.
