  The truant dilemma is an extremely interesting moral problem. Although it is merely a product of fantasy, it contains the core to which our reasoning applies. However, it must be reformulated in such a way that it relates to current reality and is consistent with the latest developments in science. Such a proposal is presented above, taking into account both the latest achievements of theoretical sciences, including the humanities, and practical sciences, the sciences. In this way, the dilemma of the wagoner becomes a problem referring to current moral challenges and to present social relations.;
  Za kamień milowy w psychologicznym studium nad moralnością uznaje się badania Lawrence’a Kohlberga z roku 1963. Miały one dowieść, że decyzje podejmowane w kontekście dylematów moralnych są rezultatem procesów kognitywnych, zachodzących nawet przy braku jakichkolwiek emocji. Z poglądem tym polemizowały wyniki badań w obszarze psychologii ewolucyjnej, sugerujące ścisły związek między emocjami a moralnością. Konsekwencją przyjęcia takiego założenia jest nowa metoda badania relacji między biologią a moralnością, tj. badanie aktywności poszczególnych obszarów mózgu w momencie rozstrzygania dylematu moralnego. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi przegląd wybranych badań metodą funkcjonalnego obrazowania metodą rezonansu magnetycznego w kontekście podejmowania wyborów moralnych.
