  The aim of the article is to determine the potential of locating recreation and rehabilitation centers in the area of natural and artificial water reservoirs. The research problem was defined as a method of selecting locations for recreation and rehabilitation centers in post-mining and reclaimed areas in central and western Poland. In the research, using the multi-criteria comparative method, three selected locations were assessed, the relations between recreation and health resorts and the occurrence of natural and managed green areas and water reservoirs in their surroundings were analyzed. The presence and distances of the centers from agglomerations and smaller towns were analyzed. The result of the considerations is the definition of a set of criteria enabling the selection of the most attractive areas in terms of the possibilities of locating recreation and treatment centers.;
  Celem artykułu jest określenie potencjału lokalizacji ośrodków wypoczynkowych i rehabilitacyjnych w rejonie naturalnych i sztucznych zbiorników wodnych. Problem badawczy zdefiniowano jako sposób doboru lokalizacji ośrodków wypoczynkowych i rehabilitacyjnych na terenach powydobywczych i rekultywowanych w centralnej i zachodniej Polsce. W badaniach metodą porównawczą wielokryterialną, poddano ocenie trzy wybrane lokalizacje, analizowano relacje między ośrodkami wypoczynkowymi i uzdrowiskowo-leczniczymi a występowaniem w ich otoczeniu obszarów zielonych naturalnych i urządzonych oraz zbiorników wodnych. Analizowano obecność oraz odległości ośrodków od aglomeracji oraz mniejszych miast. Rezultatem rozważań jest określenie zbioru kryteriów umożliwiających wybranie obszarów najbardziej atrakcyjnych z uwagi na możliwości lokacji ośrodków wypoczynkowych i leczniczych.
