  The article addresses the issue of the role and use of amateur lexicographic and didactic editions of Brno hantec – a sociolect formed before World War I in Brno. The author reviews the literature on the subject and makes a qualitative analysis of two dictionaries of hantec in terms of their construction. The article pays special attention to the objectivity of the lexical material and the authors themselves. In addition to linguistic conclusions, the author points out that the dictionaries in question play an important regional role and can be regarded as a carrier of materialized territorial, cultural and identity values of Brno and its inhabitants.;
  Artykuł porusza zagadnienie roli i zastosowania amatorskich wydań leksykograficznych i dydaktycznych brneńskiego hantecu – socjolektu powstałego przed I wojną światową w Brnie. Autor dokonuje oglądu literatury przedmiotu oraz analizy jakościowej dwóch słowników hantecu pod kątem ich budowy. W artykule została zwrócona szczególna uwaga na obiektywizm materiału leksykalnego i samych autorów. Poza konkluzjami lingwistycznymi autor wskazuje, że omawiane słowniki pełnią ważną rolę regionalną i mogą być traktowane jako nośnik zmaterializowanych wartości terytorialnych, kulturowych i tożsamościowych Brna i jego mieszkańców.
