  The article presents the results of preliminary research into spatial changes in forest-field villages in the province of Lesser Poland. The aim was to show the spatial transformations of forest-field villages from the Middle Ages to modern times. The first part analyses the genesis of these villages and defines their morphological characteristics. The following section discusses the spatial transformations that took place in the surveyed villages in the interwar period. Finally, the contemporary forms of forest-field villages are presented, together with a distinction of their layout transformations.;
  Artykuł przedstawia wstępne wyniki badań na temat przemian przestrzennych wybranych łańcuchówek w województwie małopolskim. Celem było ukazanie przemian przestrzennych wsi o układach łańcuchowych od średniowiecza do czasów współczesnych. W pierwszej części przeanalizowano genezę łańcuchówek i określono ich cechy morfologiczne. W kolejnej części omówiono przemiany przestrzenne, które zaszły w badanych wsiach w okresie międzywojennym. Na koniec zaprezentowano współczesne formy łańcuchówek wraz z wyodrębnieniem ich przemian rozplanowania.
