The article examines the post-war methods used for appropriating and domesticating space in the Oława district by the settlers who moved there. By utilising previously overlooked sources and comparing them with existing literature on the topic, it establishes the events surrounding the ‘touching moment’ in the Oława district and their subsequent effects. Additionally, the article aims to highlight the previously marginalised regions of Lower Silesia.;
Artykuł koncentruje się na przybliżeniu powojennych metod oswajania i udomawiania przestrzeni powiatu oławskiego przez przybyłych w te rejony osadników. Wykorzystując pomijaną do tej pory bazę źródłową oraz zestawiając ją z literaturą przedmiotu, udało się ustalić przebieg „momentu dotknięcia” powiatu oławskiego oraz jego skutki. Artykuł jest także próbą zwrócenia uwagi na marginalizowane do tej pory rejony Dolnego Śląska, które nie wpisują się w nurt badań nad oswajaniem terenów centralnych oraz podgórskich.
