The article presents the history of the publication in the weekly magazine Po Prostu of the famous article by Włodzimierz Godek and Ryszard Turski, ‘Kopalnia Milionów’ [A Main of Millions]. During the ‘thaw’ after Stalin died, the press was generally hostile to local apparatchiks. This article, however, was the result of the journalists’ collaboration with apparatchiks associated with the First Secretary of the Polish United Workers’ Party Warsaw Committee, Stefan Staszewski, from the ‘Puławy’ faction, targeting a representative of the party’s dogmatic (‘Natolin’) wing, Julian Tokarski. The article presents the flow of ideas that led to the creation of the Workers’ Council Movement in September–October 1956 and the formation of a key element of the October 1956 programme.;
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie historii publikacji na łamach tygodnika „Po Prostu” głośnego artykułu Włodzimierza Godka i Ryszarda Turskiego, pt. Kopalnia milionów. W okresie „odwilży” prasa była na ogół wrogiem lokalnych aparatczyków, ale ten tekst to efekt współpracy dziennikarzy z aparatczykami powiązanymi z I sekretarzem Komitetu Warszawskiego PZPR Stefanem Staszewskim z frakcji „puławskiej” wymierzonej w przedstawiciela dogmatycznego skrzydła partii (natolińczyka) Juliana Tokarskiego. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia przepływ idei, która doprowadziła do powstania ruchu rad robotniczych we wrześniu–październiku 1956 r. i sformowania kluczowego elementu programu Października ’56.
